Hey guys, Can you help me out. My Fuel pump recent went out on me. So I replaced it with a Holley 80gph pump.

Later to find out that the one I was running was a 120gph Carter pump.

Now for the question, I'm planning on putting nitrous on the car to use at the track. Will the 80gph pump be enough to support my 340 on nitrous.

I think I did the math right and a 80gph converts to 300lph. my turbo mustang only uses a 255lph intank pump and that is enough to support 500 horse.

how much horse power will the 80gph mechanical pump support.

That sounds reasonable, but exactly how much power is your 340 making?

Im not shure on the accual power. I would hope to be close to the mid to high 300's in horsepower before the nitrous. I wont be going big on the nitrous at all, just the 100 shot to get me of the 400 mark.

That sounds OK, although I would put in a fuel pressure gauge to be certain.

make sure your fuel regulator has a port to plumb a boost vacuum line to allow more fuel when the nitros enters the fuel mix....
