Today i broke the conductor of my mechanical temp gauge, which goes from the firewall to my intake, is anyone now how i can repair that? Or i need a new gauge now?

Thx Peter

Only way it can be repaired, and most are not economically worthwhile, is send it to the manufacturer or other gauge specialist. If this was out of some rare antique, it might be worthwhile.

If want to "eff" with it, ......................

just get a new one, they are cheap enough......unless this is some crazy high dollar gauge...

I think that's a thermocouple, do not believe they are fixable.
Good Luck

Pressure bulb partially filled with ether. The temp gauge, in reality, is a pressure gauge.

Depending on the type of ether, pressure/ temp varies greatly

At 100* C (boiling water), methyl ether is about 500 psi!!!

Butyl ether on the far end is only about 5 psi!!!

This is exactly the way many many cap tube/ remote bulb temp controllers work in HVAC/ R

And the pressure controls are essentially the very same control with no temp bulb and different springs/ calibration

A combined low and high pressure control
