Why do airplanes, ships and cars have to have female names?

She's actually in really good shape considering her age. A little rust here and there (no full pans - just spots), and a few wrinkles here and there to - but so do I.

Anyway - here's my new girl. We're just getting acquainted but I ordered frame connectors today. Planning on a stroked 360 (to 408) 727 trans, Independent rear suspension from Reilly Motorsports with an 8 3/4. Up front will get a rebuilt front end with some beefier parts and disc brakes.

Not planning to keep her really stock. Looking for 17's in the back, maybe 16's in the front, shaved door handles and some small refinements.

I suppose she will keep me out of trouble for a year or so!

I got her from my brother who honestly gave up a gem because we are aging and there's only so many left in either of us.

Looking forward to any advice you guys might throw my way. Maybe I can help someone else save a nice old piece like this!

:newb:

Frame connectors have arrived though!

I think "Dottie Rae" will be back in shape before you know it . Is she going to stay dressed in blue and white ? ........... As for female names ? Now that I think of it I've always named my toys to , but never female names . I've had names like the white beast , Nightmare , rollin thunder , big red , ect . and I've also called them a few names that I can't print here when they were acting up . lol
