Has anybody looked into or used the megasquirt system?

For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's a DIY fuel injection system. You build the controller and tune it yourself. All of the good of the stock black box in todays Chrysler's, but completely tunable.

I have it on my '66 Dart - an installation that actually landed me a job with a MegaSquirt seller. It was a bit tricky to dial in the starting but once I did it ran a lot better than it ever did with my carb'd turbo. The only downside was that it became way too obvious how undersized my turbo was, and now I've gotten bogged down installing a much larger turbo.

Could I get some pictures of your setup?
Do you know roughly how long it took you and about what you spent?

Sorry it took me so long; my computer got hit by spyware. Here's a couple pictures:

And two links about it:

Here's a cost breakdown:

MegaSquirt and Stim kits (V2.2 board): ~$200
Wiring harness: ~$65
Wideband oxygen sensor setup: ~$200
Other sensors: ~$35 new
Injectors: $200 for a used set of Supra injectors and cleaning / flow testing
Intake manifold setup: $650 including the manifold and custom machine work.
Fuel pump: Don't remember what I paid for the setup I used, but you can get a decent Walbro for ~$125.
Fuel pressure regulator: MSD, ~$80, but not sold anymore.
Lean burn distributor + HEI module: ~$50

I'm researching Megasquirt for my project. I'm not to that point yet so I'm hoping the ability to handle sequential is ready by the time I am there. I like the idea of building it myself and being able to program it as I see fit.

Added bonus that we have MadScientistMat here with some experience and now as a seller...

Megasquirt has a forum: http://www.msefi.com/index.php I wouldn't worry about sequential. It's a nice idea, but in reality, the injectors are open longer than the intake valve, so even with sequential, the injector is spraying onto the back of a closed intake valve part of the time.

that would be cool if there was a way to open the injectors from the cam like a diesel. then the injectors would be open exactly when the valves were open and you wouldnt have to worry about it messing up

We've been playing around with a 4 cylinder sequential MegaSquirt variant. Didn't make any more power no matter where we put the injector timing. But it did idle a little bit better and used a bit less fuel at idle. Sequential is great for emissions, can help drivability, but wasn't holding the car back at top end power.
