I recently did the headlight relay mod with 12 gauge GXL wire, heavy duty relays with fuses, and ceramic H4 sockets. I had been having problems with my headlight switch connector overheating and not holding the Packard 56 connectors. I found the exact connector without pigtails for less than $11.00 delivered. I removed all the original wires from my old connector, re-tensioned the Packard 56 connectors, and installed them in the new unit.

If anyone wonders why this service part is available as listed for those Jeep applications.... fog lamps.
Ford had the very same issue with several year models of Mustangs, T-birds, Escorts, everything with OEM fog lamps. Those would melt headlight switch, multifunction/dimmer switch in the steering column, and the wiring between the two switches.
This connector meltdown isn't nearly so common in other vehicles ( like our a-bodies ) but yeah I've seen it before. Never knew exact cause. Something other than OEM bulb type is my guess.
