Man I Miss this car at times but I sure don’t miss the work involved during a day of racing. With my current small block in it I would be going high 8’s. With my 572 probably 8.0’s-8.10.

I miss this truck. 1972 Power Wagon.
360 auto. At the end it was a Detroit diesel (379) Allison 4 speed auto. 60’s front and rear. Still got the demon.
I started my welding company with that truck in 1996.

If I was younger, richer, better shape, better looking, etc I would do up a nice street truck. But I need that like I need more hair on my chest. Thinking about that I better get my clippers out before church. It’s the only time a wear a shirt with buttons on it and that’s not a good look. Although I do think some of those 80 year old widows kinda like hairy guys.

Dooo ittt.

I got rid of that car. After my wreck in 2010 a friend took on the job of fixing it and had the body 90% roughed in and did a beautiful job. It still needed some lexan replaced and painted. Then I got the bug around 2015 to do some heads up racing and went to North Carolina to buy my blue heads up duster. A buddy wanted my Daytona real bad and I knew at that point I would never finish it so we traded cars. His green duster for my Daytona. We both kept our engines and transmissions. I was going to build a 440-1 Indy headed mega block 512 for it and had everything to do it. Plan was to have it for a spare car for my son and I but he moved so I sold the car to a guy in Ohio (he loves it) and the engine stuff to a guy down south.

Here’s the Daytona now. He doesn’t race the car enough and to get it to run what it should but he said the new engine is in and ready to go.

Major showdown!!!…..

2 brothers with nothing better to do at the Nats than to go head to head with their show cars. The big block was the victor that day, but the little Barracuda held its own, and is ready for a rematch, anytime brother wants to!
