Hey Rusty, did you attend any of the races or concerts there.
I found a site referencing the Middle Georgia Race Way while doing some mindless internet surfing.
Back when NASCAR was racing real cars that track was a regular on the schedule.
It is said that a moonshine still was discovered on the race track property in an underground bunker in the 60's
The article also mentioned that there was a open air concert there in the late 60's that featured Jimi Hendrix and had a crowd of over 300,000 folks in attendance . The nearby town of Byron Ga had a population of around 2000 at that point in time.
