small town in rural Missouri, in recent weeks, three incidents where the local police (dept. of 2) had reported incidents where 3 citizens (all white folk) have been shot and killed in altercations.
all either involved citizen (white) in: argument with the cops (white), trying to take away his gun: other, pointing gun at cop and refusing to drop it: one walking down a street full of "other" citizens with a knife and making intimidating gestures, and failing to drop said knife when ordered.
since the police force is white and the entire citizens pop. is also white, it has been determined NO civil rights violations have been made. However, a portion of the citizens feel all these shooting are unjustified. the cops have very adequate life insurance provided by the city at some cost. and jobs are scarce there, plenty of people willing to take said job.
also determined as a possible cause of all this police violence. since the city sits halfway between Kansas City, and St. Louis, and NO racial motives are evident, some question if these "police murders" are not sports related. after all the Chiefs have won what 8-10 games in a row?
also reported some of the population partial to St. Louis intend to march in protect of all this, some people from another close by town are s aid to be ready to march and then riot. the town has a Walmart, not a super center, but does has T V's, getto blasters, (white folk like head banging music too) boxes of 22 cartridges, large shelf of Spam, R C cola, and the pharmarcy is said to have supply of assorted pain killers.
other citizens, quoted as having relatives in K. C. and supporting the Chiefs, have seemed to take the side of the police. they argue that when you try to take away the cops gun, point a gun at him, or threaten the near by citizenry with a big knife, they might shoot your ***!????
