Is there a go to place for turn-key modern Hemi and transmission swaps, like Brewers for 4 speed?

Jim

I read on here and elsewhere that DIY Hemi should be avoided. The Gen 3 forum on here is really good. Lots of knowledgable folks in there. If you need a motor and stuff to put it in a 67-76 A body, I can fix you right up! I have a For sale ad for it, but it’s probably 3 pages down by now!

Well crap. Missed that forum

If you are looking for something new, and complete, BluePrint Engines just started offering 100% new, assembled from pulley to tailshaft, assembled engine/trans combo's for the gen III HEMI'S.

Exactly what I am thinking. Thanks... Should have stopped in your tent in Scottsdale at Barrett Jackson... I don't see the 3rd Gen packages, only 408's on the website.

Yup i was out at Barrett the whole time. They are Brand new. Not on the website yet.
I can email some info tomorrow, or sales can also. Happy to talk about them!

I am in the process of making deals on a pair of A100's and a '64 Dart Wagon.. I am thinking one of these to have a modern drivetrain that can enjoy driving it cross country...

what happened to the demon?

That is another thread to pull on in the future... he has the Demon, '66 Valiant Signet Convertible and '68 Barracuda convertible that have my ear tag on them but are 1200 miles away now.... these just dropped into my lap locally and they are something new and interesting.

wagon would be pretty sick with a G3. the A100 would be neat, but i wouldn't want to be road trippin' in one.

The A-100 would be more of short haul vehicle, those do not drive super nice with straight axle front.

Put a LS in it. The later Hemis have just about as much personality. None.

agreed. i borrowed my friend's and towed a valiant from LA to SF and a dipolmat back from sacramento over a weekend, about 1000mi all said and done.

it certainly was a trip to remember. the hundy had a 360 in it and performed admirably, it's just not a really comfortable rig to drive for long stretches trailer or not.

Can’t argue there. That would be a much much cheaper route and more options. You can’t see it under the doghouse anyway.
It would, actually and be cheaper in the long run too. But not as cool as say a 426 Max Wedge clone.

I think an A100 would be one of the most cost effective platforms to do a gen 3 Hemi. If I recall, the oil pans were front sump.(?) Even if they weren't, a factory pick up pan would work. Wouldn't have to have special swap headers. Unless you really wanted them. Any regular exhaust manifold (NOT SRT) should work. Hotwireauto.com is the best bang for the buck to just drop in and go for electronics. Point is, no real special, i.e. expensive, swap parts. Therefore, the LS isn't cheaper as you can straight bolt the Hemi to the an existing small block trans. The hardest thing to do would be the fabbing of engine mounts. And that is no biggie.
