I have a 1980 slant six with a 1945 Holley single barrel carb. I noticed my intake manifold had wetness all over it, around the carb. However, I know this is not fuel. It smells more like oil. I sprayed brake cleaner on the intake while it was hot, which cleaned and evaporated the whole mess. Nice dry intake. Now, I drove the car for a few days and now the moisture is back. I have no fuel leaks from my carb, it is completely dry outside. The vacuum hoses from the carb to the pcv valve and the vacuum advance are fine. The area around the carburetor is dry, but about an inch or so away from the base gasket, there is moisture. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this could be. Possible vacuum leak from pcv valve? I don't think so, but it seems it's the only possibility

Oil mist from pcv system collecting in air cleaner dripping from somewhere?

Check your top radiator hose and thermostat housing, with a leak there the f an would blow antifreeze on the intake manifold. Had it happen to me.
