Mopar 8.25 rear

I have a mopar rear in my A body out of car but with 3.55 gearing out of a Dakota and sure grip...how much power should this combo handle?

That depends on the application? Street car? Track? Slicks? HP level?

For normal street use - no issues.
Heavy drag or slicks- not long.
400hp has been the “typical” top end.
Lighter than the 8-3/4 and a lot cheaper.

Another factor would be your transmission, a mannual is a lot harder on the rear end.

Also, how well you have it set up. A crappy install is going to turn to **** a lot faster than a correctly setup unit.
