I was wondering if anyone has had success painting Eddy Aluminum cylinder heads with Mopar engine paint (Orange). Did it stick? I’m old school and like my engines all one color.

I painted mine with Mopar rattle can paint and two years later and about 2,000 miles still looks great. After engine assembly I sprayed the whole thing down with Brake Parts Cleaner then blew it off with compressed air, let dry, then sprayed away with a couple light coats. Don't put the paint on too thick.

I've got 1800 miles on mine since April.

I scuffed the machined surfaces that were getting paint with sandpaper/brillo type pad to help paint adhesion.

Just kidding, Hemi Street orange Mopar PN..lol.
I had the industrial shop heater blow on it all night then chased the moisture out with a propane torch. Just a bit of extra heat. The Mopar paint went on great, like glass, even over the old engine paint. I first cleaned it down with solvent then 4 cans of contact cleaner and a new stiff brush. Blew it off with air.
