Kern, any updates? Is this really going to be a two day Mopar event? It's hard to believe but if so ... sweet.I'm with the Capital City Mopars car club. One of our members is spearheading the event. His name is Randy Pike. He is NOT associated with the owners of the raceway. The owners have been notoriously lazy about promoting any event at the track.
I don't have a date but it will be in late September and it will be T W O days this year!
I'll report back with more info soon. PM me to remind me if I don't have more info by this time tomorrow.
It is still set to be a 2 day event.
Heat? Come on, people....This is Sacramento in the late summer. The venue is mostly asphalt. Heat is just an unfortunate part of it.
Randy Pike has ran the event the last 2 years and it has grown dramatically. The show car count went from approximately 10 cars in 2017 to 45 last year. More racers, more spectators, even the swap meet people ran out of room. It is in no way a HUGE show but it is much bigger than it was before. It used to be in early September. It should be a little bit cooler now being about 3 weeks later in the year.
YES, that is correct.Aren’t they just tying Friday’s test n tune to the show.
I'm thinking of making it my first show. Looked up the info for entry and was hoping maybe someone could clarify. Looks like it's $30 if you pay ahead and $40 at the gate, does that get you in for each day? Also my little '63 isn't gonna blow anyone away so would it really be worth showing? First timer so sorry if it's a silly ask.
YES, that is correct.
Sorry for the confusion. I talked to Randy last night. I corrected my earlier post.
May come up with our 64 , definitely not a show car . If you enter into the swap meet do you also get an entry into the show? Or is it one or the other? I just have a couple of things that would like to go to the swap meet. Dented bumper and a couple small items
