Hey, I just got my Mopar Performance valve covers for my 340, and now I´m looking for a grommet for the PCV valve and a adapter for the breather that fits in the twist on holes for the oil cap. I dont want to drill holes in the covers when there already are two holes that I should be able to use, and also I like the look when there is no oil cap on the cover.

I also purchased a Moroso breather that I thinks look nice and a summit PCV valve, thinking I would just have to get proper grommets for them, and since I have seen other peple running with the pcv valve in the oil cap hole I figured it would be sort of easy to find.
Well, it wasn't..

Can anyone point me where I can find a grommet and/or a adapter for the breather that fits the MP valve covers? The few ones I can find are either wrong size or doesnt specify dimensions.
For instance, I found http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/sdk-c7az-6892/overview/ that someone said they used for their MP valve covers, but it doesn't say what the hole diameter is.

I know I can get a Mopar Performance breather + PCV valve that twists on, but I already have a PCV valve and a breather, and also I like the look of those more, so if I can get them to fit I would be happier than having to purchasing another kit with a look I don't like :)

Also, I live in Sweden, so it has to be from an online store (but they don't have to ship international, I have a myus.com address I can ship from to Sweden).

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

What I want:

Also an adapter for the breather, or a bigger grommet:

The breather I purchased, ID of the grommet/OD of the shank going into the grommet is 1", forgot to measure ID of the breather that sits on the push in shank:

PCV valve I purchased, ID of grommet/OD of valve is 3/4":

How I want it to look (notice the hole has not been drilled, he´s using the oil cap hole for the PCV valve):

Another example, with the type of breather I want, also in the oil cap hole:

Those are a pain! The thick aluminum castings make it non universal. I had to get engineering and make something work. Sorry no real help besides - put your thinking cap on and out smart it.

So no one have any idea on how to solve this? I dont want to punch holes in the covers, guess I´ll have to see if I can get the holes machined and use bigger gaskets..

The oil cap fill hole that uses the PVC is plugged with a gromet that you'll have to search for. Scroll through the Summitracing web site with known a diamention.

The solid circles are a drill your own. So what ever the item is you want to install, you will need the breather and gromet first before you drill.

Mopar (used to offer? Or still does) offers various items for the valve cover holes, undrilled or the oil capped ones in breather form.

Get the micrometer out and measure up. Convert to inches.
(I know, damn American measuring system!)

That moroso valve cover on the floor is more period correct than mopar proformance.

Geez rumblefish360, what's up with those messy little wires in the third picture ? ! Spaghetti :poke:

These might work from summit. Check the dimensions to be sure. You can add a pcv. See engine picture attached.

Stant brand (summit # snn-10071) fits 1.156 holes
Trans dapt (summit # trd-4999) fits 1.000 holes (one review said did not fit a charger well)
