Moparfest 2013

Hey Chris, just got off work and on my way to Kindersley for a job interview...I will touch base with you guys after the interview. Sounds like progress!!
 
yeah sort of it's pretty much ready to start putting back together just waiting for the expert to come home and hoping the skies don't open up on us eh ,
 
got started and the sky opened up , this is not helping if the rain stops long enough to torque the heads and intake I should be able to do most of the rest while kims at work tomorrow and have her ready to fire and tune when he gets home .
 
Frickin thunder/lightning was brutal on the way home! Good think you didnt pop the hood. We shoulda got a pic of the 3 of us together?? But I did take one of your car, :D sorry couldnt resist.:eek:ops:

fired her up , she puked smoke and dumped tranny fluid all over the drive , she seemed to run good and with some tuning most of the smoke stopped , but the trans issue is a broken line that won't be fixable till sometime tomorrow at the earliest and the only way I could make it if I left tomorrow night would be to push it a lot harder than is wise at this point soooooo with a heavy heart I have to say I will not make it to Moparfest this year . Please raise a glass on my behalf and inform Pat etal that this years longest driver will be someone else then send me lots of pics .

Chris...What's the trans line problem?...is it split or broken completely...snapped off? Could you not use some rubber fuel line and some hose clamps?
 
Well that really sucks Chris,was looking forward to seeing you again.There,s always next year.I will try to get some pics at the show and some in the Hotel parking lot.
 
I am coming up Saturday to check it out!!! My Valiant still needs lots of work....but am super excited to be checking out everyone's cars....I am bringing my wife and little girl...they on the other hand are not super excited...haha....My wife always says "is all I hear is blah blah blah, but I know once it's done she'll be dying for me to take her out in it!!!

they have some day trips set up for the wives / car widows that leave the grounds and come back in the afternoon ,you might want to get her on one of the buses it's cheap and go to some sort of crafty village or something .

yeah she split but thats not the sort of repair you do for a 2000 mile trip heck thats not even good enough for the 1000 miles to home , we'll fix it proper tomorrow night and put some test miles on her thursday to gauge whether or not it will make it back to Victoria or go home on the train again

I really don't want to hear about what you load in your butt however I booked a room in Sunny Kindersley for a couple of days and am going to try to enjoy some of my time off
 
..............Well on the bright side there is a Mopar car show at Dodge City in Saskatoon on sunday, maybe ill take my duster for a run ............kim.......

Got the Dart all waxed up last night in the anticipation of the drive back to Canada Friday night. I will be bringing backs lots of cheaper US beverages for our consumption enjoyment. See you all at the FABO Club area. :)

Sorry to here about the car Chris. I was lookin forward to shooting the breeze with ya. I bet Clint will take up the slack tho and listen to my BS... have a safe trip back Chris and see ya next year brother.

Well Chris, I think you have made a wise choice. Moparfest will be here next year and I will be looking forward to seeing you then!

I will raise a glass in your behalf (maybe 5 or 6 glasses) LOL. Enjoy the rest of your holidays. I will take lots of pics for ya!
 
thanks Andy I may end up driving to Saskatoon for a mopar show there on the weekend before dropping the car off to a shipper and flying home , shes running good and the trans line is fixed but shes still making some heavy ticking sounds I'm not too comfortable with .See you guys next year and keep an eye out for a clean notchback roller for me at Moparfest eh !
