Motorcraft 2100 Carb

I've read a number of threads on the Motorcraft 2100 carbs. I read that a lot of Jeep owners switched to the 2100 from the Carter carbs. I would like to purchase the 2100 for my 70 slant six. I have the super six manifold and I don't want to mess with a reman carb. Does anyone know what the specific modle number of the carb. Many of the carb sites ask for a make and modle of the car. Can these carb be purchased new? Thanks

I have had many 2bbl motorcraft carbs. They are really simple, and you can take the airhorn / top off and do jet changes with the carb installed.

Interesting, like half a Holley 4010. I had a Fomoco 2bbl by Holley that I 'hanger 18' modded for a blow through. Nice that the air cleaner is 4bbl size. trouble is they dont fit! IIRC you need the stromberg 2bbl adapter.

I used a motorcraft 2150 from ebay rebuilt with adapter from a seller, just search " bbd upgrade" on e bay. Thing runs great but a cable kickdown for the trans will be needed. ehrmannmp is the seller and I have no connection to him.
