I have seen on other older cars instead of cutting the frame and and doing your typical weld in spring re-location that they have just welded, the piece that you get from the kit directly under the frame rail. Anybody ever done this? PROS AND CONS? I know it will sit higher in the rear, which for me is desirable anyways.

thanx

p.s. saw it done on a 68 Plymouth Satellite

Seems to me that it'd be considerably weaker, than boxing it into the chassis. Everyone does things different and thats a good thing to me. As long as you're happy with welding them on the bottom of the frame rail I'd say go for it, but to me, it's not strong enough, for my driving style.

I see what you are saying, I figure from that I would probably do something like a I-beam so that it wraps around the frame halfway, was planning on making the pieces 18 inches long for more strength
