Muffler options

Hi Yellow, I have made a few but they cost way too much for most. Tell me what Pontiac engine/car he has so i can decide if what we did is applicable enough that it might do him some good.
Tom

67 firebird 400 4 speed. 3.73 gears. Any help will be appreciated. He hasn't bought anything yet. This will be the second set of mufflers. I'd like to keep him from a third try.

I strongly suggest the PYPES SGF 70 . Tell him to look at the transverse crossflow muffler system.
We got to help design and test the system (see small photo). It works and sounds great and is not too loud or quiet, has no drone and flows terrifically. 2.5" mandrel bent BUT it will take some fitting. We were able to use some OEM SD TransAm pipes as mockups for flow paths then use the muffler as in at top on one side and in at bottom on the other so it basically acts like two mufflers in one without the glass pack sound and without the raspiness of the mufflers that use no packing material. This one WORKS!
A guy at PYPES, Mike S, just put one on his 67 Firebird and he can tell your cousin all the details.
We made this a while ago for an early 70s Firebird (seen in photo) and just recently put a system on a 74 455 powered GTO/Ventura. It still sounds awesome like the prototype did.

Did it long ago for a early 70s Firebird and just put it on a 74 455 powered GTO/Ventura.

Seen your work ,V.O.E..... What would it cost ,to build a set of mufflers..like you did for...

Abody, I am out of all my end caps and shells that I had cut years ago. Still have the internals though. Not sure what it would cost but more than what you pay for some of them on the market I know for sure. The Chinese copies of Magnaflows come over here for almost cheaper than what it costs me to pay my welder pals!

Every time that Tom gets in my car he reminds me that we need to get back on our tailpipe project so that we can truly hear how his custom mufflers sound. Plus the fumes suck!

Or these maybe? I may talk with local steel supplier to see if they can laser cut me some more shells and end plates so i can get rid of more of my internal ceramic packing material and st. st. materials. I'll let folks know.
