I have finally got the Dart ready to make a few passes so I'm going to the Union Hill drag strip this coming Tuesday. Howard (draginmopars) will there as well in his bad *** 4 door Dart. If anyone is near the area it would be cool to meet some other FABO members.

I believe another friend of mine will be there as well in his tubbed 70 Duster drag car. I'll try to post Wednesday morning with some pics and results. This will be my first outing since swapping the old tired 318 for my Magnum 360.

I think its supposed to clear up and be nice Monday and Tuesday. If so, are you going to be there?

I was really proud of the Dart for my first outing with my magnum 360. Ran a 7.88 at 86 MPH. The really cool part is I out ran a 2015 Hellcat Challenger! Granted it was his first time at the track, 6 speed manual and street tires..... but still. Just cause you got money don't mean you can drive!!

It was really good to meet FABO member DraginMopars as well. We got to line the darts up and he smoked me pretty good! Was a great time and we didn't break anything.

I will post my ET slip and a link to the Hellcat video.

Good 60' for the et/mph.

That 60' should be in the 7.65/89 range. Might be a bunch in tuning. It's losing time during the run. About .15 at 330 and .25 at 1/8th That's still a roughly 12.50ish run. Nice job.

Thanks for the info Cracked. My timing is 22 initial and 36 total that's where it seems to like it but I haven't messed with the Holley 750 DP too much yet. It's the 4779-9 so it's got 71 primary and 80 secondary jets I believe. I have changed out pump cams and squirters to eliminate a big but haven't messed with the jets yet. My next investment is a wide band air fuel mixture gauge. Maybe with some tuning and weight reduction I can get close to 11s this spring.

The 60' would be good enough for a 12.10ish if everything else was running up to snuff.

If it's pulling off fat from the bottom, that could clear up a improve 60' time as well. At least you have the better issue, good 60' and lagging a bit the rest of the way. Better than bad 60', great MPH and poor ET.

It's a junkyard 2001 5.9 magnum. Just freshened it up with rings and bearings so I'm still running stock Pistons, rods, crank and heads. Had comp custom grind the cam on an LA core so I could run a mechanical fuel pump. Cam is 230/236 duration at .050, .506/.513 lift with the stock 1.6 magnum rocker ratio. Edelbrock air gap, Holley 750 DP and cheap summit headers. Running an x pipe and 2.5 inch flow masters.

It's got 90/10 shocks up front and ss springs in the back. 8 3/4 with 3.91 sure grip. This has been a poor mans budget build over the last few years so I'm pretty proud of it. I've gotten tons of good advice from some wise folks on this forum. Also learned a lot from lxguy and magnum swap.com

That 60 ft time is also largely due to the ultimate 3,800 stall converter.

Jet it up a couple steps next time out. If it picks up, you're headed the right way.

I'm running the MP offset shackle kit in order to run 275/60/15 MT drag radials. SS springs with long shocks in the back and 90/10 calverts up front. I also measured to make sure the front has 5 inches of travel.
