Welcome back Roger!!! It's fantastic the fire has been reignited and you'll be burning up the streets instead of airboat canals! I enjoyed our chat the other night ... you've always been an inspiration. Keep us posted!!
Dragged the original door panels out of storage ..... they seen their better days, so used em as templates for some sheet aluminum I had in the corner.
A lil bot ‘o scuffing and acid etch primer followed by some raptor liner ...... I gots some door cards, kick panels & back seat cards....taped off the top 3/8 “ on the panels to slip up into the retainer trim.
I never felt any love for the TCI Cheeta shifter plastic cover. So I made a jig and cut up some sheet aluminum then took it over for a friend to weld up.
While there he replicated a close match of the dimpled hole in a piece of a glove box trim that I will be using as a filler piece right of the 66 dash cluster. Will be utilizing the holes to mount the headlight and wiper switches.
Been cleaning up the interior, installed dash pad, dash trim ( some what modified) , added a few roll bar members, the passenger seat mount fab ‘ed, new shifter mount fab’ed....
I’ll be ready for headliner and front / rear glass in coming weeks...
Didn’t take long for Chloe to claim her seat once she realized there were seats.... her whole 2 yrs around here it was just the “thing “ under the cover...
