My 1967 Cuda Restoration

-
I feel for that kinda money, you should get a complete refund or exchange. It sucks that this has happened so long after purchase.Hope Rick can help you out?Keep up the great work on re-assemble!

No matter how you look at it or whether or not Layson's will make the situation right, nobody should pay six hundred bucks for parts that fall into pieces the first time you use them. Stories like this just make me shake my head and wish for the good ol' days when stuff was well made and lasted longer than you expected. Good luck getting this resolved Tony!

You're movin right along Tony, keep up the good work.8)

I have fallen behind on your build Tony, The red on black is the way to go:cheers:
You have been busy Tony :happy10::happy10::happy10:
Know to go back and see what everyone is talking about with rivets and parts braking up :read2:

Just caught up again on your build, and she's looking great. I love the red interior (how many vrooms did you make sitting in there.. come on now, tell the truth!). The paint and detailing is awesome, that mirror finish really shows how dirty your garage is :).

Not good news on those tailights. That would be a major PO. Hope you can get them fixed up without having to replace them.

Grant

After I put the tail lights in I went around front to install the Master cylinder.
While I was up front I heard a loud pop......after a couple of minutes I heard another one. After doing some checking, I found that the tail light housings
had separated.

I bought these from Laysons during the Mopar Nats in 2006. They have been
laying on my shelf waiting for the restoration. I paid $595.00 for these pieces of you know what. Looks like the had them pieced together with some small
brads and some glue. Not my idea of a quality part costing $595.00

Monday I will take them to the body shop to see if they can weld them back together.

A real crappy day as it turns out.
Like I said I have missed out on all the work you have got dun Tony, You sure have allot behind you and you have been busy as a bee  Know I see what happened !! Not Cool At All!!! I sure hope you get them back together and have this behind you soon
I sure would have pooped a brick if that happened to me after spending money for a pair of tail lights.
I hope things get taken care of and this will be behind ya, If I sold them to you I would demand to send you at least half of your money back.8) or a new set and send those back to the co you bought them from

Looking soooo good Tony, Looking REAL GOOD

Thanks Dave......sent the new (old) tail light frames back 2 days ago. Rick is going
to replace them!

Still waiting on the call from the speed shop......I don't think the tranny is
quite ready.

Tony, nice work! Please tell me your putting new wiring harnesses in.....It is money WELL SPENT. It is also easier to put the dash panel back in with the instrument cluster and everything else installed in the dash panel first. That is how the factory did it.

Thanks red

My wiring harness is just fine....just dusty.....it will get a good cleaning.

It's never been cut and the car only had 84,000+ miles on it.

Tranny is going to be completed this week coming up, so the 'Cuda
will go in the following week for the install. Been waiting for this!

More pics to follow....but you knew that already :-D
