I am beyond stoked to have my car back.
I found and bought the off white with blown up slant six automatic car in the mid 80s. Over the next bunch of years I put in a '68 340 with a Racer Brown 509 / 292 cam, AAR 340 SIX BARREL setup, A833 trans, numerous different gear sets.
When I sold it in 1991 I had back halfed the car with a 4 link, coilovers, 21.5 x 33 M/T, 5:38 suregrip.
The car was resold about a year after I sold it to a friend of mine. Well in the last few weeks we struck a deal and the car is now back at my home.
It has a big block in it now, with an automatic. It also came with a brand new 451 Stroker Engine shortblock. I am on the hunt for some nice aluminum heads and a Six Pack setup, or carbs. And plans are to put a standard back in it again.
My friend that owned it has his own Upholstery Shop and in the deal he is doing the interior and new top too.
My kids and I are puting the car back together to get it back out as soon as we can, enjoy it, collect some parts and restore the car back to the way it looked in 1991. My mom and lady are as happy as myself and my kids to have it back home!
30 years, wow I just can not believe it!
