I did the same thing running manifolds on my exhaust, I put a header flange in to make working on the car easier.

Yea thats exactly what I want to do.! I already replaced the starter in this car once and It would have been impossible if I had a permanent exhaust system. Right now I just have a temporary exhaust. I have the down pipes the two pieces of flex tube from the down pipe to the mufflers. I want to replace everything from the downpipe back eventually.

I bought the summit 2.5" header back kit with mufflers, and ordered the head pipes up from Mancini, the head pipes fit great, I did have to buy an extra 1" piece of pipe from the local parts store.
I fully welded every joint except I clamped the mufflers together.
It took me 3 evenings of cussing after work, with the car sitting on jack stands.
I tacked every joint, and took it out from under the car, and welded it all the way around.
When done it fit great, no rattles, or leaks.

Wow guys I really can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I've updated this thread! That is insane! So I will give you all a quick update. I'm still working on it! Lol It is officially licensed tagged and insured now its on the road! If you follow my YouTube I have a couple videos driving it. I have been driving it quite a bit, today I started working on the interior and making my door panels. I took a piece of 1/4 plywood and cut out the panels im gonna get some kind of upholstery vinyl to cover them but leave the top part wood like the original. I also painted all the door trim today. I have some small stuff to to like window sweeps and door seals and im ready to start putting carpet and interior back in the car.

Been doing pretty good, my 65 Dart I parked til I fix the transmission leak on it. Been getting some good wrenching time in on my 67 Belvedere, when I can between work and family. The new update took me some time also, makes me wanna go gold haha.

Now to get started on that new truck project! I haven't had an update on my dart in like forever!
Yea im really excited to get started on that truck. It's got alot of little things mostly cosmetic. I'm not doing anything major on it until the dart is painted! Gotta stay focused haha

Keep at it, it took me about 10 years to do my Duster its 99% done, just need to put the window chrome, and wipers arms back on.
But even at 99% I have not touched it in a additional 6 years, except to start it up once in a while.
I keep jumping to other projects.

Yea im bad about jumping projects especially now that it's running and driving. I think I do it to avoid the body work I dread it! I'm not a body man I'm not very good at it and I don't enjoy it at all lol

I know how to do body work, and have done it for years, but I still hate it.
Last night I painted a hood for a friend of mine.

I will say it is onw of the most rewarding trades. After all that work and labor you can see your fruits of your labor!
