I stayed home from work today and reassembled the engine and installed it back where it is supposed to be. I then ran it for 25 minutes to break in the new cam and all seems good. No noises that aren't supposed to be there and no leaks! During the 25 minutes the temp never got above 180 and that was sitting still revving 2000 to 2500. I was impressed. I went with the Comp Cams XE 268 H cam. I am letting it cool down through a complete heat cycle before I do anything else. I checked the timing while it was revving 2500 once and I must be getting a little better at setting the timing, it was only out 4 degrees.

ON the road again, I can't wait to get on the road again!!

I hear ya Jack. Let us know how she likes the new cam when you take it out for the maiden voyage

Have a good cruise Jack! Glad to hear she sounds good again. You inspire me to get under my hood now and do the same. 8)
