Kind of a shame as they had a couple more races left in the old ones. But with 40,000.00 on the line I don’t want to be worried about how much rubber is left. Prep them today and run them to my local tire shop so the can apply the High Tach and glue them on for me. I’ll balance them over the weekend.

I had to buy new slicks a couple of months ago. Old ones had plenty of tread left, but I had to plug one of them, so I keep them as a spare set. They are getting so expensive nowadays.
 
I'll have to prep my slicks this weekend and get them mounted next week. They still won't be on the car because it's so far away but it will be nice to have them ready for when that day comes & I can't wait to see them in my super stock wheel wells lol, I'm really excited about that.
And I'll definitely revive the slick tech thread.
That needs to be a sticky
 
My local go to tire store slicked me up today. Now I measure the circumference and adjust if necessary, bubble balance them, and throw them on.
