thanks jeff,it was a pretty nice day for your first show.your car is on its way...had a good time hanging out with you guys .rick that thing will roll when you get the 360 in it...and the bullshitters couldnt ruin the day...the only ride that drove in running a dominator! james your cars bad i would flog that thing everywhere ....
 
Yea was a damn good time man. It's was fun bullshitin with you guys. Wish my turd would have started the first time round but got me home with no worries. We need to have meets more often and maybe have 1 Wednesday every month or so at the street drags to screw around and help with test and tune. Good to meet level headed people that aren't afraid to dive in and get greasy to better their ride. Good stuff guys!

i knew you would make it home ,at least it didnt take but a few to get it going.good score on that oil oan too rick can't wait to check out your convert.
 
ohlone college is about 16 miles from my house.we went highway 84 to mission blvd.took us 25 minutes to get there, there was a little traffic on 680.it used about 1 3/4 gallons of gas to get there.my gas milage at 3800-4000 rpm was a little over 9 miles per gallon.pretty decent for a solid lifter,cam ground n 108s,w2 heads and 4.56 gears....and the dominator carb.not tooshabby...too big ?right.

how do you drive on the highway with those rpms?

Mine cruises at 3000rpm at like 55mph and i hate revving the motor that high while cruising.

idk, i have ported w2s and a mech cam.i was eyeballing the water temp and oil pressure constantly.the engine rpms really good.i really wanted 3 91s but endedup with these 4 56s.main reason it hasnt been to sac or sonoma yet.didnt know how it would be on the highway.
 
been thinking it might run out of rpm before the stripe....guess i have to run it to find out....todays kill 55 chevy 454 4 spd....lol

Way to many late models..... im sick of looking at those things already, them an the flashy lights they all seem to have haha

havent done anything to the car except cruise around a little bit.took my friend for a ride ,has a 10.80s 64 nova, he was impressed......

you are supposed to get less fuel slosh and a better tune .i have seen some really quick cars running like this.besides why not?the public was already tripping that it runs a dominator,they wont know what to think with a sideways carb.and it only costs time to turn it around.
 
been wrenching on paying jobs this week so life is good ,food on the table etc,got three vehicles to work on tommorrow .its either feast or famine.....
