Motor Boating anyone?

I've had to repair those multi colored tree roots when crews either ignore the locates, or don't bother to call to get things located. Either way, it can get expensive for whoever dug them up.

Been out on my fair share those repairs. The real fun ones are when they would dig up a pulp cable. No colors to go by. Tone from both directions and match em up.

The most interesting one I was called out on was when the sea wall at the Naval Academy was being rebuilt and they drove a 12 inch lag thru the submarine cable that goes under the Severn River. We were able to pull enough slack out of the last manhole and up from the bottom to make the repair. Very odd feeling letting the finished splice sink back to the bottom of the river.
