I think ours was just a button and then the motor on the selector would "clunk" around till you found your station. maybe a "Philco" tv?

Our antenna at the cabin was that way. A box set on top of the TV, and when you turned the knob, it would light-up for a second, then go “ka-chunk” while the antenna outside rotated. At first I think I damn near wore it out playing with it, but Dad….uh….”set me straight” pretty quickly.
