Hated those 8 tracks with a passion, they’d get tight you’d have to shake them to loosen them up, if not the tape would stretch. Or they’d get eaten. Never had to many switched to cassettes. Way gooder and I could make my own tapes.

I have repaired all kinds of 8 tracks. Still have some sensor coil in my toolbox. Probably couldn't buy that stuff anymore but never know.
