Cool. Motorcycle engine? I see them at Rockford Speedway. It's a 1/4 mile oval and they really fly around that high banked track. The track was made for midget racing way back.

Are those reasonable to run? Grass roots reasonable?

it has a fj1200 oil cooled streetbike engine in it...

not sure on cost, never run it, i know new there like 13000, i didn't pay no where near that and got a truck load of extra parts.

as for them flying i was doing passes up and down the road in front of my house and theres fast, I had everyone on my road at the end of there driveways clapping or thumbs up..

I've always thought about getting into those. They are so cool and they are one of cheapest ways of getting into stock car racing. But I have to choose either that or dragracing. I can't afford both. Unless I can just hit that lottery................come on numbers.

cool, are any other engines allowed? I am thinking V-MAX
or how about HD 80" evo motors, not very fast but it would sound great!

no, the engine is a 1200 open thats in it (you can tweak them some) or you have to buy a 1250 sealed motor. If the sealed motor blows up it has to be sent to north carolina to be rebuilt.
only two engines your aloud to run.

i need to go through it the next 2 weeks or so, suspension set up, painting and polishing stuff and get to know the car a bit better, also letter up my sponsors

Those things can be more fun than the big cars! Buddy of mine, Pat Lyden, races here in Erie and has been state champ in the class more than once... he's 18 right now but he'll be 19 soon. And just like him, you'll think your car is fast until you race it for the first time, and then find yourself at the back of the pack. lol. Takes lots of seat time and more money then people realize to run these cars and be competitive. Did you buy all of your safety equipment yet? Thats the first big blow to your wallet.

Good luck man and post vids and pics along the way! I'd lose the "door panels" for weight though. Unless you need a map with you that pocket is more goofy then anything else, haha.

Now, slap some FABO sponsor decals on it! I'm sure leanna wouldnt mind a phoenix specialty coatings sticker on there either ;)

im sure i will be running at the back of the pack until i get some seat time which is fine for me, going to be a learning curve of how to drive the thing, And yea i have the safety stuff, the seat in the car is my size, new belts, and i have a new fire suit ordered along with the radio so i can hear officials. That pocket you are talking about on the door panel flips up to show the door handle. As for the weight car has to be a min of 1300 pounds, car weighs 1000 im 250 so i need to add some weight. It will be going on the scales one of these nights. The car has one a championship from who i got it from. I just need to learn to drive it with out smashing it. lol

so after i think 11 weeks of racing, finished top 10 6-7 times, top 5.. out of 20-28cars every weekend . haven't put a scratch in my car and have run clean earning the respect of other races. I went from being the new outsider to working on 5-6 cars in the field. These are some pics of my car of how i did the vinyl off my machine and painted it...

here of some updates, car..gf, shirts we made up etc

yea my dog is always trying to get into pics, shes like my shadow.

As for tracks i run bethel motor speedway right now, I live in bethel so it takes a whole 5 mins to get to the track, Main reason i bought a circle track car

I plan on running albany this friday and hopefully chemung sometime soon. Ive been staying at bethel just learning the car. Its a blast to drive. 14.6 lap times on 1.4 mile track at 62 average speed. Its been a fun season, If the car comes home clean every week that is a win in my book.
