Well it has been a long life for this starter. It is a Mopar brand. What I am looking for is if any one here has replaced their starter with one of the ones stated here. 440 Source has one for $100 and Power Products has one for $149.
Any help would be nice...................Ted

been using short factory ministarters on my LA motors for years. spins the motor a lot faster for easier starts. Somebody here offers an adapter for the wire lugs at the starter. After having the first one I installed fail early, I started getting the starter heat wrap from Summit and never had an issue since.

95-ish to 99-is Dakota/ ram with 5.2 or 5.9 and don't look back. If you really want to spend more money, and yeh, I get that rebuilts are a crap shoot, buy a new one. A NEW new one.

That works for a 440 as well right?
Yes, the mini starters from the Magnum V6 and V8 vehicles will work with any traditional small block or big block. Older models of Magnum starters up to around have scew down wire terminals for both wires. 2000 - 2004 have a weatherpack connector for the small wire.
