Mysterious problem

Ok I solved the problem. 4 of my lifters must have been sort of bad, basically they must be bleeding down real fast. So when I set the lash i was actually plunging down on those lifters while the rest were very firm to the point that I couldnt get them to plung down. So when I started it up they must be filling back up with oil and holding the valves open. I replaced those lifters and shes running like a top. Thanks guys for all your input.

hell yea man!!! glad you got it fixed! i really really want a set of these rockers for my 318!!
