ok this is for a 65 barracuda i cut down the 8.75 housing to fit this 65 barracuda i missed a thickness calculation some where at the start but the final product is the same as far as left and right side measurements go. I just need to know how to measure axle length correctly. custom made item cannot be returned. flange to flange is 51 1/16 which is closer to a 73-76 8 1/4 a body than the 63-72 7 1/4 a body. the axel measurements refer to the tubes to center section button in the middle

Brakes you plan to use will make a difference in offset.

Using factory BBP drum brakes, it's going to be right at 27 1/4-27 5/16 for each side as long as the housing is equi-length on each side. All 8.75 rears from the factory were equi-length housings. If you have it built with a different offset, you have to skew the numbers.

Overall length end to end with axles/brakes is going to be around 56.25
