I'll have to see if I can come up with a pic. 318 2bbl linkage comes straight from the pivot to the carb (except for a small downward bend in the middle). The 340 4 bbl style (318-TQ 4 bbl should be the same) I need comes upward (from the pivot) and out closer to the valve cover to work with the wide TQ carb.

Well, I got impatient. One from some type of big block car, a torch, a sawzall, a grinder, a piece of a hood catch, a wire welder, an hour's time, a shot of spray paint, and it's done! I'll try to remember to take a pic sometime.
