Hey Brother, that's something that would happen to me too. People will sell ya anything, including "The Dream" ... you'll get it right
You were "in the ether" when u bought it. Or
"He put a hat on you", as car salesmen say
Ask me how I know

Thanks, Google is yer friend for the most part. I typed in "63 Valiant bumper", then select "images". 1st link/image that came up was the FABO listing by Lee.
Want to thank everyone for there input and time. Never thought it would go this far. I feel comfortable about the results.

How did you dig this up. Your amazing.

I was on google but did search for 63 Valiant. Thought bumper was too specific but very wrong in this case. Thanks again. Now will work towards swapping out for Barracuda bumper. Regretfully will not find NOS bumper so the chrome will not be as good.

With what you have, that may be rare, you should call some of the high end guys/ places and see if you can swing an deal. And of course, post an add

Good aftermarket chrome is better than anything I've seen from the factory.

You could post for a "trade". Win/win.

Guess I'm going by word of mouth and not experience. Heard the aftermarket chrome is not as good. To have a bumper chromed your looking at upwards of $600.00. We have a high dollar place here in Texas but their good.

true on the look of the chrome.

but bumper fit is likely better on NOS since it’s never been straightened.

problem with the OP’s bumper is what proof is there that’s it’s NOS vs rechrome? Is there a sticker with part number? factory stamp?

I’m pretty sure they don’t repro 63 valiant bumpers. So it eliminates that.

it’s probably worth as much as standard rechrome plus $25-50 core. Minus some if there are any shelf and handling scratches in it.

IMHO, $250-$600 plus shipping… VERY dependent on condition.

An good well placed ad should get some good results. I paid a lot for the bumper initially. May not get it back but who said these cars were cheep. Just so long as it doesn't change my standard of living. Thanks for your help.

All very good points especially about reproductions of Valiant bumper. Did not consider that. Hopefully when it's all over everyone is happy.

Purchased this NOS bumper, which was advertised for 68 Barracuda. Due to my ignorance, did not open the box till much later only to discover it's for something else. Can anyone identify it so that I can post it correctly and get rid of it. Jeff

Yeah I think you're right. That is it! And here's the neato thing. They used the same bumper front AND rear.
Yeah you're right @cudamark. I think it's the Dart that uses the same bumpers front and back on one of the year models.
