Need a part number

I'm trying to find a steering shaft retainer kit for a 1968 Barracuda with manual steering.

I called Jim's auto parts and got the secretary..I think?? She didn't have a clue a wasn't very helpful trying to figure it out.

Any ideas where I can find this kit?

Actually, when I have been out of options and used them, she has done a pretty good job for me.

I'm in the process of having my 4 speed rebuilt so I'm re-doing a lot of things while the tranny is out. It's been several years since I have been involved with the working on the Cuda.

Where did all the vender's go??? I don't remember it being this hard to get service and parts online.

I would think with the economy the way it is you would want to do everything possible to maximize every customer you could.

It's been a frustrating process to say the least.
