[WANTED] need a six

my 6 died either it spun a bearing or threw a rod..either way its dead and I need another..does anybody have one reasonably priced in the ct,ny,nj area?

That's simply not possible. These engines do not ever blow up if you believe popular mythology.

Seriously, a couple bits of advice....

1. People nearly give these engines away, so don't pay more than a couple hundred for one.

2. Later engines after 1983 or so use hydraulic lifters so you no longer have to adjust the valves and they also use the sparkplug wires that don't require the seals.

thanks for the helpful advice..i might have a line one one with a transmission. mine went boom..the sound was actually louder than my exhaust, which I didn't think would be possible
