He might need the sag from his old springs to keep that four speed under control off the line!!! Unless he's really good at finesse and has launched it more than a few times!! Also agree with drag radials and a bigger carb!! You should be able to get it done without a problem!! Run a little less than standard pressure in the rear tires and pump the fronts up some, that should help some also!!
