Need help.........'64 Barracuda

Frustrated....
I'm looking for something as simple as black foam, or so I thought.

1964 Barracuda. The Chrome strip that goes above both side windows with the rubber weather strip to seal the windows when they are closed.

Well, there is a strip of black foam type stuff that is glued to the top of this piece. This 'squishes' between the piece and the body when it is installed.

I can't seem to find this black foam anywhere. I know that those of you that have had your 64\65 barracudas painted have removed and reinstalled this piece. What did you use in this case?

I've been literally looking for this for way too long, and I need help apparently. I just can't/won't reinstall this piece with out the black foam.

Had the same concern on Jake's 65... Went to Lowes and bought a roll of weatherstrip seal... We got grey.....

After I posted this, I Googled foam......found a possible solution. Don't know why I didn't think of this before.

A vendor at our local flea market has huge coils of 1/4 X 1 adhesive backed foam weather strip in black for a dollar per roll. Shop around, good luck
