My eyes can't read that small print. Type the codes you are curious about. Letter and number please.

I’m interested in the rear axle, pinion and gear ratio. In 73 they still manufactured a few 489 carriers fitted with the older model pinion 1-3/4” instead of the 1-7/8” that usually comes with the 489 carrier. Any part numbers you can give me would be greatly appreciated

Vac fit: 54
Engine: 556
Carb: 33
trans: 803
Pin: 37
P/shaft: 760
Axle: 281

There should be a letter in each box above where the numbers are.

On line one going across, box 5 should have a single letter for the engine- I see L in your pic. That's 360 v8 4bbl. Line two for trans. box 2 = 21- That is 4 speed 833-Manual. Rear end should be line two going across box 4. What's in there?

The D codes I have are...

D56- 3.55:1 rear axle
D82- 8.25:1 or 8.36:1 Axle Housing
D91- sure grip diff

Leads me to these numbers on line 4

Pin: 37
P/shaft: 760
Axle: 281

In 1974 a Duster would have an 8 1/4 axle. Any numbers on a factory build sheet will be the end numbers for a 8 1/4. The E bodies and some B bodies had the 8 3/4 in 73-74.

Yea, 56 is 8 1/4 3.55 gears. That was the best gear ratio you could get!
