My 65 power steering box has a Pitman arm with the ball stud pointing upward like that. Pitman arms don't interchange since the sector shaft diameter is different in 73+ and I think all studs pointed down then. To verify, lookup my post on rebuilding the gear box. I recall giving casting numbers and photos which should show them.
The valve body (on top) also looks like my 65 w/ flare fitting on the high pressure port. I know because I swapped the valve body to 73+ one to get the O-ring port that matched the hose I needed to match the Federal pump I had to use to match my alum water pump mod.
However, the valve body has the later return fitting instead of the single piece alum on my 65. Those fittings often break, so could have been upgraded, though early pumps (TRW) had a larger tube size on the return.
How the heck did they fit pwr steering in a big-block A?
