Diagnosis... Plum Crazy.
If you have spark out of the top of the coil and in to the cap, but nothing at the plugs it’s only one of 4 things. In this order
1.cap
2.rotor
3.plug wires
4.plugs
Reluctor
If you have spark out of the top of the coil and in to the cap, but nothing at the plugs it’s only one of 4 things. In this order
1.cap
2.rotor
3.plug wires
4.plugs
If it has spark out of the coil the reluctor is doing it’s job, switching.Reluctor
Your attachment didn't work.This thread started as a "need help understanding Mopar ignition." It is a very simple ignition, yet each post makes it more complex and less of a Mopar ignition.
Not Ford coils, GM hei conversions etc...
What happened to the simple diagnosis ? Post 33 tells you anything you need to know about "stock ignition" which is very durable, and reliable.
On a perfect running car that suddenly has an ignition problem. The problem is seldom more than a simple part . K.I.S.S. is a very good advice.
Here is one more troubleshoot source for a "stock Mopar ignition."
