need help

how do you disconnect the steering coupler from a manual steering box, so i can take the steering column out? i have already removed the roll pin but i still can't slide it apart. what am i missing?

It's just stuck. Use a pry bar or thin, wide wrench to pry the coupler off the box. If you pull on the column you'll just pull the coupler apart.

I use a great big open end wrench between the coupler and box. Don't get to "horsey" with it

Of course spray WD40 or PB Blaster in the hole where the roll pin was and let it sit overnight. There are many small splines on the shaft so a little rust can lock it tight.

I've found clp to be better than wd40 and pb but that's my opinion.
