need help

Ok so i got the new intake carb and fuel line in today but saw somethin strange there is a sensor at the back of the motor with nothin hookek up to it so i look around and i found condensor with a big slide stile c-clip and a wire coomin off the back looks like it gose on there and if it dose + or neg side of coil. the sensor im talkin about is to the left of the dizzy lookin from the grill twords the back of the car. its not in the intake
