I am thinking about rebuilding my own 904. It worked perfectly when I pulled it, I just want to freshen it and kit it to make it shift more positively. Mancini shows several kits. Looking for the book and some advice.
TIA, Rat:rock:

I don't know of a book for a 904 except for the factory service manual but there is a super good book out for 727's and their virtually identical transmissions except for parts sizes and the front clutch spring setup. Here's a link to the book

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Torqueflite-727-Transmission-Handbook-HP1399/dp/1557883998/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1278648803&sr=8-1"]Amazon.com: Torqueflite A-727 Transmission Handbook HP1399: How to Rebuild or Modify Chrysler's A-727 Torqueflite for All Applications (0075478013999): Carl Munroe: Books@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51MrlOqCiXL.@@AMEPARAM@@51MrlOqCiXL[/ame]

It is very well written in layman's terms and covers everything from theory of operation to building an all out racing trans. and everything in between. I guarantee you'll be happy.

If you want it to shift better there's no better kit than a Trans-go kit. I've used nearly every kit on the market since 1980 and none work as good as a Trans-go. For the last 12 yrs. I have used nothing but Trans-go kits for that reason.

I need to call my trans buddy tomorrow, I will see if he has anything that might be of help....
