Need some advice on Swinger purchace

Sorry guys short notice but I sold my 74 runner clone and and going to look at a 70 Swinger Sunday, what would the VIN/fender tag show to prove it is a real 340 4 speed Swinger and not a clone? Thanks

Should begin with LM23HORXXXXXX for a real 340 Swinger

the h code is a must , that just tells you its a 340 , but make sure the last numerical digits match the dash vin, fender tag & radiator support(driver side by battery on top of support),also check the drivers door sticker if its still there.

E55 D21 should be the start of the bottom row on the fender tag

Might not be stamped on the rad support if it's built at the Windsor plant. You need to look on the pass side trunk lip about were the Bee stripe crosses. The last digits should be stamped there.

Numbers are located to the left of the sharpie under the weatherstrip.
