hi guy i know this isnt the b body forum but we all like mopars on this forum. looking to buy a 1970 coronet 440 a few hours from my house, here is what the car is its a 318, power brakes, power steering, disc brakes up front, super clean car no rust on car at all one of fenders has a dent bigger than a door dent bench seat colum shift car, 67 thousand miles, paint is ok i think original not sure what i should pay for this car i know its hard to give an exact price but all park im looking for my plans are to pull 318 and stroked 383 or a 440 with 727 would that help value at all let me know what u guys think

with no pics , we have no clue on what actual condition its in

the grills alone bring 3-500 bucks if they are in great shape

without pics, 3K to 8 K

the condition of all the body pieces is crucial on value. if you had to replace all that it would cost a small fortune

70 coronets happen to be my very favorite B body. ive had a number of them including an FC7 super bee

if that car is solid with no rust and you had the money i would be there with 9k in pocket and wouldnt leave without the car. that car will only get more and more valuable. love those cars. if you were to make it a big block super bee CLONE you could pull 25-30k easy.

If the case is full of money offer more, if it's Rick Springfield cassettes offer less.

value of the car is what you are willing to pay. I live in the rust belt and I will pay extra for rust free as you would get buried financially doing panel replacement and never get all the rust. If you want to make it perfect, paint it and a new interior and then update all the drivetrain, I would buy one that is like what you are going to build and let that builder take the hit. On that particular car if you just clean it up and upgrade the drivetrain I think that is a fair-good deal. Just my opinion and I have many ask my wife.

In this market, $7000. cash and you will oun it. Does the guy have a wife? If so offer the money when she is around.:blob:

Take about 20 $100 bills, the rest of what you plan to offer in $20 bills and see what happens. This isn't the first time the car has been listed so you might get it bought. I am showing listings back to Feb 16, 2013 for this car and it could be older than that.

awesome info thanks this helps alot know i have an idea on what i should pay for the car i just hate not knowing the value on a car and then i make an offer and the seller either gets mad or happy cause i payed way more than what he did thanks guys

that's why pics go such a looooooooong way :burnout: they don't tell everything , but they sure help

That interior needs a lot of help!! Also don't like the fact that its a bad reliant job and they didn't bother with the engine bay. Makes me wonder what other corners were cut!! Base model, base driveline, ratty mismatched interior, wrong color doesn't add up to anywhere near the asking price to me!! I'm at $4500 on it!! You can get MUCH better for his asking price IMO!! Geof

Although the engine, paint and underbody I would call above average, that interior kinda kills it for me. I'm in for $7K.....$7.5K max., but I personally wouldn't pay that. I like the looks of that car, but I go back to my old adage "why buy a B Body when a 440 or Hemi fits in an A Body?"
