Need thickness of daspad to tach installation..

I should have saved the thread ..and I cannot find it now.

What the FABO member did was to just bend a fairly stiff piece of metal bar , slid it under the dash pad and mounted the tach on it. Really simple and looks cool. And he didn't need to screw it down..

I need the thickness so I have have the metal bent...has anyone done this ?

Superbird bob makes a nice heavy gauge bracket. not cheap, 85.00 bucks, but supports the tach very nice. I have two of them on my dash pads

Thought I would same me some grief because I would have to have the metal bent at one ofthe local shops ...and I hate to wait a month for it so I bought one from motophsyco.
