Hey gang just picked up a mint orginal dash pad for the duster the the problem is it's green i want black any one done a colour change need your advise thank's

We do color changes all the time at my shop. You will need to start with a wax and grease remover to wipe down the pad. then a vinyl prep to help soften the material to except an interior paint. We use Sherwin Williams ultra 7000 interior.

There are a few different ways to prep and paint depending on the brand you use. I use Dupont vinyl paint. I believe dash pads should be medium gloss. As mentioned, you have to get any contaminants such as ArmorAll off. Wax and grease remover is commonly used here. Then, I have a strong cleaner I use on tires that I spray on and scrub with an old Scotch Brite pad, then rinse with clean water to get any solvent residue cleaned off. I then spray with the vinyl paint. Looks nice and holds up well.

SEMs Landau black is a good color match. SEM makes prep products too.
