Neutral Safety switch wiring on 68 A body

My car came with the switch unwired. Where exactly does the wire from the switch hook up on a 1968 A body car.
And, should it be a single or 3 plug switch?

'68 was the last year for the single-pin switch, which serves only the neutral safety function. '69-up 3-pin switches serve both the neutral safety and reverse light functions. You will find two ¼" male spade terminals on your starter relay. One has a yellow wire that goes live when you turn the key to the "Start" position. The other should have a brown wire running from it to the neutral safety switch.

That brown wire is the only wire that isn't taped into a bundle or routed through other connectors. Almost like they threw it on as a last minute addition. Straight shot from NSS to start relay

I agree with Dan and Redfish. Also, you should download a wiring schematic for the car; they are a great help.

You may want to verify that your transmission is the single wire neutral type. You can't just swap the switch to convert from one to the other. If you find yours is a 3 wire type, you can use it in a 1 wire car by getting the correct 3 wire plug and just using the middle connection for your neutral safety/starter relay.
